Biography / Calendar
Biography | I began my Agile journey 10 years ago when my manager at McKesson suggested that I become a Scrum Master. Up to that point I was totally vested in the Waterfall methodologies having worked in it as a software engineer and a CMMi Appraiser. Now, I’m totally converted and would be what you call an Agile Evangelist. Raw numbers. I’ve been the Scrum Master of over 21+ teams. So, I’ve seen it all people wise. I’ve been a part of 34+ Program Increment Planning sessions. I’ve interviewed many Scrum Masters at Aetna. I hold numerous certifications such as CSM, ICP-ACC and many SAFe certs including SPC, LPM and RTE. But I will tell you that certifications do not make the Agile professional, experience does. That’s what I bring to the table. I am passionate about raising the knowledge and skills of Scrum Masters and related Agile professionals. It is my belief that for industry to truly accept and adapt to Agile values and principles the Scrum Master is key to that evolution. To that end I was very active in my prior companies’ Scrum Master CoPs. Beyond that, I love to run and fish. |

This resulted in roughly 80% attendance by the SM community at CVS and an uptick in community participation. • The bulk of my teams worked on service/microservice layers using AWS and GCP focusing on either IoT or identity access for cloud implementation. |
