• It’s short notice, but anyone who wants to get their Professional Scrum Master II (PSM2) certification before year end is welcome to join an exam prep class I’m teaching that starts on Tuesday.

No charge to join the class. Of course the exam costs 250USD. Also, you’ll need a little udemy set of practice questions to complete assignments in the class, but I have a discount code so the cost is only about 15USD.

I am not an official Scrum PST trainer – so the class is an unofficial class. But, that’s also why I can offer the training for free as opposed to 1,495USD 😀

One of the things I particularly like about the various Scrum .org certifications (in addition to them being lifetime certs with no membership or renewal fees) is that there are not any prerequisites to taking an exam: anyone is welcome to attempt to prove their competency. While classes are helpful and a great idea if you can afford them and have the time, classes are not required. Something I specifically like about the PSM1 and PSM2 certifications is that the body of knowledge is almost entirely the 12-page Scrum Guide. You have to know it, and know it well, to pass PSM1 and PSM2. Guess what the primary assignment is during the class? Reading the Scrum Guide once per day (takes about 20-30 minutes of focused reading time).

The schedule is a 3-week schedule. We’ll meet on Tuesdays Dec 5, 12, and 19, for an hour timeboxed meeting (start time is noon eastern, 11:00 a.m. Central, 9:00 a.m. Pacific – which translates to late afternoon UK, early evening in EU, and late evening India). In addition to the hour meeting each week — assuming you have your PSM1 or CSM and are already familiar with Scrum — you’ll want to plan on about an hour a day of self-study to complete the assignments and be ready for your exam.

Anyway, it’s a larger group than usual (over 40 signed up so far) but there’s room for more if you’d like to join. More info and the signup link are here: https://fourpointeleven.com/psm2-exam-prep-coaching/

Also, I’ll say this since I linked to my site: I’m not selling anything. No agile coaching upsell. No email list that will send you ongoing messages. No paid classes. Nothing. I’m looking for a remote Scrum Master role and have been helped by so many along the way – the classes are a little way I can give back/help others/and stay connected while I’m furthering my education!
