      Which kind of experience is more valuable for a job candidate to have?

        I would say it depends; It depends on the type of candidate the job provider is looking for and more importantly on your own job goal.

        The direct experience may help you in the short-term to land the job, but the indirect experience will help you use the various skills you learned in past experiences to succeed.

        Personal example: I have worked in healthcare, fintech, and even served in the US Air force – all those indirect experiences help be serve as better agile leader to my teams in tech.
